The series takes place in a universe that launched in 2001 with the release of the first “Halo” game. In Season 2, Master Chief John-117 will lead the Spartans to fight the alien threat. called Covenant, as the galaxy was on the verge of destruction. There is a six month time jump between Season 1 and Season 2.
